How To Install The Windsock?

If you have purchased a windsock but are not sure how to install it, you will be inspired by this article.

1. Install the lightweight windsock

Lightweight windsocks come with cords and clips for easy installation. All you need to do is purchase a short flagpole from your local hardware store or online to install it. When installing, you'll want to make sure it has a loop on the mast for you to clip the windsock to the mast.

2. Install the golf pin windsock

Installing a golf pin windsock is not as difficult as it may seem. A plastic composite ring is sewn into the mouth of the windsock, as well as four brass grommets. You can attach them to your golf flagpole using the enclosed S-hook and you can easily complete the installation.

3. Mount the heavy duty industrial windsock to the double ball bearing frame

If you choose a heavy duty industrial windsock then you need special installation. If you are installing a larger, heavy-duty windsock for the first time, you will need to hire a professional installation service to install the poles and anchors. Larger windsocks require heavier dual ball bearing frames designed for more industrial applications.

4. Install a smaller windsock on the machine bearing frame

For smaller windsocks that attach to the machine's bearing frame, you can purchase a 1/2" galvanized water pipe with a coupler screwed on top. For stronger rods, 3/4" rods, couplers, and reducers can also be used. Before attaching the frame to the pole, install by pulling the mouth of the windsock over the large hoop on the frame and by threading the zipper through the grommet and attaching it to the round frame.
